Statistics show coronary artery disease to be the leading cause of death among both men and women in the United States and Europe. However, deaths from coronary artery disease and other heart diseases continue to decline, due to improved treatment options and advances in drug therapies that lower cholesterol, high blood pressure, and so forth. This section discusses prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation for several different heart diseases.
